Servers often allow players to customize keybinds for specific actions, such as:
Custom emotes (laughing, dancing, waving)
Character-specific interactions (for example, a mechanic may have keys to repair vehicles).
Radio channels for different groups (police, EMS, etc.)
To customize your keybinds in FiveM:
Open the FiveM settings menu (usually by pressing Esc).
Go to the Keybinds tab (this could be in the Controls or Input section).
Here, you can modify the key assignments for different actions by pressing the button you want to rebind and then choosing the new key.
Be sure to save your changes once you're done.
Steps on how to bind emotes/actions:
1. Press F8
2. Type in the following: bind keyboard "[button]" "[action]"
[button] - your preferred keyboard button for the action
[action] - the emote or action that you want to bind in that key
Example:
Binding the handsup emote (/e handsup) is something like this:
bind keyboard "9" "e handsup"
Steps on how to unbind emotes/actions:
1. Press F8
2. Type in the following: unbind keyboard "[button]"
[button] - your keyboard button that has already a binded emote/action.
